HYATTSVILLE, Md. -- DeMatha (Hyattsville, Md.) sophomore forward Joe Hampton is one of the top-rated 2016 recruits in the DMV and currently holds offers from DePaul, Penn State and Xavier. But Maryland, the hometown school, is keeping close tabs and could be close to pulling the trigger. If so, the 6-foot-6 Hampton would be highly interested in UMD.
