NEW YORK- The eighth ranked Virginia men's basketball team continued on its perfect start on Saturday night, after beating Rutgers 45-26 in the Barclays Center Classic.
Temple drops third straight, falls to 5-6
The Temple football team had a chance for a third straight week to become bowl eligible. For a third straight week, the Owls just weren’t good enough, falling to Cincinnati, 14-6, on Senior Day at Lincoln Financial Field to fall below. 500 for the first time this season. Temple (will have one final chance to gain the sixth win it needs to be selected for a bowl against Tulane.
ASU rebounds with Victory Over Colgate
Following two consecutive losses where ASU failed to execute down the stretch, the Sun Devils were naturally seeking a win in their next game to get back on track. In that sense, a veteran and disciplined Colgate team wasn’t exactly what the doctor had ordered. Getting to play the Cavaliers would do wonders for VU on multiple levels. In order to meet UVA, however, Vanderbilt must take care of Rutgers. Urgency needs to define the Dores' performance on Friday night.

If you saw Appalachian State get manhandled by Furman on Wednesday night you can have no comprehension of what took place less than 72 hours later in Blacksburg, VA.
