You don't need Bob Knight to tell you that Western Athletic Conference basketball isn't quite on par with the Big Ten, but here's another discrepancy: Whereas longtime Big Ten coaches like Tom Izzo, Bo Ryan and Thad Matta know what to expect from most of their conference rivals, the coaches in the WAC are just getting to know each other following an offseason overhaul.
